Balancing & Tool Progression

Balancing & Tool Progression

Tool level requirements land for both mining and woodcutting, alongside new axe and pickaxe sprites, idle player visibility, and a stack of quality-of-life fixes.

Balancing & Tool Progression

This update focused on giving the skill progression system real teeth. Tools now require a minimum skill level to equip — you can't just grab an obsidian pickaxe on day one. Mining and woodcutting both received a full pass on XP rates, tick durations, and item values to make the grind feel rewarding at every tier.

Tool Level Requirements

Mining and woodcutting tools now enforce skill level requirements. Each tier of pickaxe and axe is gated to a level that roughly matches when you'd be mining or cutting the corresponding materials. This was one of the most requested progression improvements and lays the groundwork for future skill balancing.

Progress Bar Improvements

The action progress bar now shows a descriptive label of what you're doing (e.g. "Mining Iron Ore" rather than a generic bar).

Other Fixes

  • Worn equipment and animations were not rendering when entering a map other than the main map — fixed.
  • Bronze ingot now correctly requires Level 1 Smithing.
  • Woodcutting progression simplified to mirror the cleaner mining tier structure.
  • Flint tools removed — Bronze is now the starting tier for all tools.
