Food Does More Than Heal
Most food just restores HP — but a handful of Cooking's more advanced dishes grant a temporary buff on top of the heal, boosting something specific for a limited time after you eat them.
Buff-Granting Meals
Stew
Fish Chowder
Curry
Fish Pie
Admiral’s Pie
What Each Buff Does
| Meal | Heal | Buff | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stew | 14 HP | +10% action speed (all skills) | 5 minutes |
| Fish Chowder | 17 HP | +8% Fishing yield | 10 minutes |
| Curry | 22 HP | +10% Smithing speed | 8 minutes |
| Fish Pie | 15 HP | +3 effective Fishing levels | 10 minutes |
| Admiral's Pie | 25 HP | +5 effective Fishing levels | 15 minutes |
Eating a new buff meal of the same type refreshes the timer rather than stacking — you can't hold two stews' worth of speed bonus at once.
Tracking Active Buffs

Active buffs sit just above your sidebar, each counting down to when it wears off.
Any buff currently active shows up as an icon just above your sidebar, along with a countdown to when it expires. Once it runs out, the icon disappears and the effect ends — no need to track it manually.
Tip: Curry's Smithing speed buff and the various Fishing buffs are worth timing deliberately — eat one right before you sit down for a long gathering or crafting session rather than mid-session, so you get the full duration out of it.
No Potions — Yet
Everworld doesn't currently have a separate potion or scroll system — buffs only come from these specific cooked meals. If that changes in a future update, this article will be the first to know.
