The Marketplace

How player-to-player trading works — listings, tax, and claiming your sales.

Fixed-Price Trading

The Marketplace is Everworld's player-to-player trading hub — a straightforward buy-it-now system rather than an auction or bidding process. Anyone selling an item sets a price per unit, and any player can buy however much of that listing they want, up to what's available.

The Marketplace panel open on the Browse tab, showing a list of items for sale with prices

Browse, Sell, My Listings, and Inbox — the four tabs that make up the Marketplace.

Listing an Item

Open the Marketplace and switch to the Sell tab to list something from your inventory or bank. A few rules apply:

  • You can have up to 5 active listings at once.
  • The minimum price is 1 coin per unit — there's no upper cap.
  • Listings automatically expire after 7 days if nobody buys them.

The Sell tab shows a live preview of what you'll actually receive per unit after tax, so there's no guesswork before you commit.

The 5% Tax

Every completed sale takes a 5% cut off the top — if you sell an item for 100 coins, you receive 95, and that 5 coins is simply removed from the economy rather than paid to anyone. It's worth pricing your listings with that in mind rather than being surprised when your payout doesn't match the sticker price.

💡

Tip: The Sell tab's "you receive ~X after tax" text does this math for you — always double-check it before confirming a listing.

Claiming Sales & Cancellations

Sold items don't pay out instantly into your inventory — proceeds land in your Inbox tab as coins (for sales) or items (for cancelled/expired listings), and you need to manually claim them from there. It's a small extra step, but it means you can safely list something and log off without worrying about where the coins end up.

Cancelling a listing yourself works the same way — whatever stock hasn't sold goes to your Inbox, not straight back to your inventory.
